Our History

Our school opened its doors in the fall of 1955 and was named for Laura Louticia Allison, an educator in Austin for fifty years. She taught at Bickler Elementary and Winn Elementary schools and worked tirelessly for students as a classroom teacher and librarian. As a leader among teachers, Laura L. Allison was instrumental in developing the Texas Teacher Retirement System. She was also an active member and President of the Austin Classroom Teachers Association.

Our School
